Cousins Weekend

Eli enjoyed watching and playing with all the big boys while his cousins and their parents were in town visiting. Having additional kids around gave us a good excuse to go play on the playground equipment in our neighborhood, watch some cartoons, and explore the children's museum. How wonderful to be able to get together with family for a weekend of fun!

Congrats to Uncle P and Aunt C!

Eli attended his first wedding, and enthusiastically celebrated Aunt C becoming "official". The newlyweds planned their big day so well; things went smoothly and everyone had a lot of fun! Eli enjoyed having many relatives around, as well as experiencing the music, lights, and dancing at the reception. Many, many thanks go to Grandma and Grandpa B for coming to stay with us and take care of Eli throughout the weekend.

Signs of Summer: Corn!

Okay, so this is probably not real, local, summer corn on the cob, as it is a little early for that to make an appearance in Wisconsin, but it tasted pretty good anyway. Definitely puts one in a summer state of mind.

Hmm, I could eat this

Eleven is Excellent!

With all the wedding fun going on around here this past week (more to come on that soon), we are a little behind in posting some other recent activities and events. Eli turned 11 months old on June 6 and his mom celebrated her birthday the same day! Grandma came visit to make the day special for us both.

Signs of Summer: Play time in the Park

Play dates have moved to the great outdoors! Starting this spring, each month has brought multiple one-year-old birthday celebrations. Recently we enjoyed some time in the shade to celebrate the June birthdays.

Signs of Summer: Farmers Market

More and more yummy fruits and veggies have been appearing each week at the farmers' market. Luckily, scones, donuts, and beef jerky are always in season (and delicious!).

Good farmers' market breakfast!

Signs of Summer: Picnic Time

Over Memorial Day weekend we took a break from the old house cleaning and prep to enjoy a picnic lunch on our deck. Just trying to get as much fun as we can out of the deck that Daddy built before the house (hopefully) sells!

Signs of Summer: Ice Cream at Memorial Union Terrace

Summer must surely be here, as we visited the Memorial Union Terrace for this summer's first taste of Babcock ice cream. Yum!

Hi, Mom! (Uncle P: note that the ice cream is present in the shot)
