Surviving Shots

We're happy to report that Eli did pretty well with his two-month shots! We were going into the appointment with the deck stacked against us, as he was about due for a nap and also a little hungry. He was really fussy during the appointment and his scream when they administered the shots made his mom cry too. Luckily Dad was there to console everyone, and while Eli was a little sleepy and cranky yesterday, he is back to normal today. One positive effect from the shots - Eli slept from 8pm to 5am last night! Here are a few pictures of Eli on happier, non-shot-filled days.

Go Badgers!

On Wisconsin!

Watching the game with Dad (yes, that is my second Wisconsin onesie of the day...it is good to have multiple wardrobe options when you are 2 months old and like to make a mess of clothes)

Starting to Feel Like Fall

We've been enjoying the long Labor Day weekend by taking part in some classic Madison activities. On Saturday we made a trip to the Farmers' Market, although we needed to bundle up a bit, as it was feeling a bit chilly in the morning. Eli got to try out his fuzzy zip-up from Grandma and also sported his Badger hat to support the team for their game in Vegas.

Go Badgers!

This is the way to travel!

On Sunday, we braved the crowds (and it was crowded) to sample some yummy food at Taste of Madison. We met up with our friends Alice and Dan, and discovered that with a stroller and a pregnant woman in your party (Alice is due in October), the crowds part a little for you.

Happy Labor Day everyone!

Eight Weeks Old!

This week, Eli turned the big 0-8! Wow, 8 weeks goes by quickly when you are sleep-deprived and learning a lot about breastfeeding, diapering, and how to do things while holding an infant.

Boys on the Porch

Daddy took me outside to watch the machines moving dirt in our neighbor's front yard. After closely studying this equipment, I think I could definitely take it for a spin!

Bold fashion choice with the spit-rag on the shoulder, Dad.

First Overnight at Grandma's and Grandpa's

Eli and Katie decided to tag along on one of Cory's work trips, of course because we like to travel with Cory, and also since it included an overnight at Grandma and Grandpa's in West Bend. Grandma made this home away from home very comfortable and we enjoyed visiting with family and friends, including GG and G-pa! After the long trip out East, the drive over to WB seemed like no time at all!

Wow - 4 generations!

This changing table is a good place for making kiss-y faces at Grandma.

Posing for the paparazzi who would not stop snapping pictures while I tried to nap.

Dining al Fresco

With Fall just around the corner, Eli wanted to make the most of the nice weather by joining his parents for dinner out on the deck.
