High Chair Hijinks

Meal time (and meal preparation, for Mom) recently became a lot more fun around here, as Eli now has his very own high chair! He has discovered that it is a great place to taste new foods, such as sweet potatoes and pears, as well as a great perch from which to watch Mom prepare dinner. The tray holds a lot of toys too!

More Winter Fun

There have been many fun activities recently as we try to stay warm in the cold winter. From playing with friends, to cheering on the Packers (not Daddy, of course), to dinners with Mommy and Daddy's friends, Eli has been on the go!

Aqua Family

Since our parent-tot swim class is filled with first-time parents, there is no shortage of cameras at each session. Here's a family picture one of our friends took for us when everyone was in the pool. Eli's new trick at this week's class: holding his breath and going under water for the first time!

Hurray for Visitors

Last weekend, Grandma and Grandpa and GG and G-Pa came to visit Eli for the day. It was fun to spend a cold winter day with family: playing, eating solid foods, napping - all the best things in life!

Keep that food coming, Grandma!

Time Flies When You're Having Fun

Hard (for Mom) to believe, but Eli is 6 months old! We've been having a fun-filled January, with visits from Grandma and Eli's friend Devyn, more fun at swimming class, and a couple play dates with the Aqua Moms and their babies.

Grandma, have you met my friend, Devyn?

Squash!

And the first food (besides baby cereal) award goes to...butternut squash! Eli thought it was delicious, and Mom was glad that he is already enjoying her cooking.

Lovely Day for a Swim

Eli started parent-tot swim classes this week. He really liked kicking and did a nice job with floating on his back. Many of his baby buddies are in the class, which is fun for Eli and Mom and Dad. Grandma came to the first class to capture some pictures of the swimming fun.

Zoom!

Part of the fun of learning how to sit up is that you get to play with more interesting toys - like this super-cool racetrack from Grandma and Grandpa Brasel!

3...2...1...Happy New Year!

Eli celebrated his first New Year's Eve at his cousins' house. In addition to welcoming in 2011, we also exchanged Christmas presents, and played a lot of Wii and card games. All in all, a fun way to say goodbye to 2010 and hello to 2011!
