Eli adventured outside this week and experienced new textures: grass and dirt! He was a good helper as Mom pulled weeds, and seemed to enjoy playing on a blanket in the lawn. Now if only the sunshine and warmer weather would stick around for longer than one day...

Home Sweet Home (almost)

In the past couple weeks, Eli has enjoyed exploring our new house. Since none of the furniture is moved yet, he may think that each room is his playroom, as there is plenty of open space to crawl around and scatter toys in his wake. With the help of our wonderful family and friends, there has been a lot of cleaning, some painting, and some other general maintenance. We hope to move in sometime soon...

As he continues to explore new foods, Eli has found that some are tasty, others are not so much, and some are very moisturizing (and thus should be smeared all over one's head)!

Visiting and Crawling

Last week, Eli spent time at Grandma and Grandpa Brasel's house. He did super on the long car ride and had so much fun playing with his grandparents. In keeping with his tradition of achieving major milestones at his grandparents' houses, Eli made major strides (pun intended) in his efforts to crawl. It probably is still more of a slither at this point, but we definitely saw forward motion. During our visit, we saw a snowstorm, as well as weather warm enough for afternoon walks, but we spent a good portion of our time just playing!
