Winter Warmup

Eli and I took advantage of the warmer weather to go take a walk at the zoo. Eli enjoyed watching the animals, especially the "big Sophies" (giraffes). It felt great to get outside and see a little sunshine. We also had a fun surprise today - Grandpa stopped by to play this afternoon. Eli was a little wary of Grandpa, but definitely was interested in the funny noises Grandpa could make and also liked to feel Grandpa's beard.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Last week, Eli enjoyed having Grandma come to visit. Some signs of "stranger danger" are starting to pop up, so it was a good thing that Grandma was able to stay for a couple days.

I love you, Grandma

We've finally been seeing some sunshine and warmer weather around here recently, which has helped reduce the massive snow piles by at least a little. On one of the sunny days, Eli had to try out his shades.

Seven Months Old

As of this past Sunday, Eli is seven months old! The Packer Super Bowl victory and getting to see some of his aunts and uncles were a nice way to celebrate. Eli has been very smiley recently, so Mommy did a little at-home photo shoot to capture all his seven-month cuteness.

Everybody Grab Your Toes!

Eli has become very intrigued by his toes lately. Here he is encouraging Daddy to join in the toe-grabbing fun.

SNOW!

Eli enjoyed his first blizzard this week, as the Midwest was treated to a powerful performance by Old Man Winter. We made a grocery store run early in the week, and all of our usual activities were canceled, so we were all set to enjoy a snow day in pjs with hot cocoa (or warm milk, for Eli) close at hand. Although Mom and Dad had the fun of snow blowing and shoveling through waist-deep snow, Eli chose to appreciate the winter wonderland from indoors. Mom made her first snow angel of the year, so we did manage to enjoy the snow at least a little. Hope everyone in the path of the storm was able to stay warm and safe!

I think I'll have some fun with this snow stuff when I get a little bigger.
